What is love at first sight?
I have heard this countless times, true love is the love at first sight, love at first sight is eternal blah blah...but i cant comprehend what is love at first sight ?
Whether it is a guy and girl both staring at each other for the first time? is that love at first sight? Here you dont know why the girl/guy is staring at you. Especially if you dont know a girl/guy. If you are smart, handsome you obviously can think it maybe because of your looks but even then there is a remote chance whether the person who is staring at you might have other things on his/her mind to say to you. But eyes say a lot. So will you go and talk to her/him? If "Yes" than what will you say..how will you start ?. You have to think about it quickly otherwise you may lose that person who is/was staring at you. And if you couldnt talk to her/him than if that was love at first sight than obviously it was not eternal, so the phrase goes wrong there. And these types of things happen a lot, so if you go on asking to the every girl/guy who is staring at you ...you might get unappropiate reply at times....So for those whom the first experience was a bad one might not have the courage to ask another time and might lose the girl/guy of their life, but for those whose first experience was a good one but they realized that was not true love then they might kick this concept out of the window ... So whats the feeling that is developed inside you if you found your true love at first sight ?
But sometimes mostly boys use to stare at every beautiful girl they see and might well drop the girl to her house by just staring and nothing saying to her. Well that is not true love that is....i just think of it as "Cheap". Well in some cases it happens the other way round :D...
Whether it is a meeting of girl and guy somewhere who are complete strangers.....that is love at first sight ? So what do you say guys?...What is love at first sight ?. What type of feeling is generated to let you know you have found your true love at first sight?

Well, as in for my case, I can only fall in love at first sight with CDs and Books :)Gals and boys .... hmmmm ... get some one else's say!

I don't think true love can occur between two people who have just met! It takes time to fall in love with people....love at first sight=infactuation, maybe? or maybe even lust....but then again, what do i know about love! :D I am just as clueless as a monkey in Newyork :D

I think love at first sight is something that doesn't really exist after all. I mean how do you love somebody you don't know at all? I think the character is alsi important...and at this point you can get dissapointed.

I do not consider "love at first sight" as being possible. In fact, its a state of "first attraction" towards the other person, and not a real love emotion. How can you fall in love with someone who just showed you his/her looks without the charms, and what if this person is a true killer of all emotions once you've landed the eagle? What if this lover turns out to be a murder? Can you fall in love with one you don't know for at least a few more moments than the first minutes? I can not. :)
Definately, the whole concept of the romantic "love at first sight" is just a dream for those who live in a romantic state of the poetic ancient times.

Sana,Kat,Mike and Mahnoor: you are all right there. I think that too. Love cannot occur b/w two persons who have just met or have just seen each other. It takes time. Yes..its definitely for those people who live in just a dream.
So the whole issue of Love at first sight is settled. Most of the people have said what is really the case.

when one person meets the other for the first time they get infatuated for verious reasons... n the reason merely depends upon the kind of a life partner qualities u thought of.. n u tend to get to see in them... but as r as falling in love is concerned it only grows with the passage of time... n i dunt beleive in newtons third law of motion ..OPPOSITES ATTRACT... for a long run this theory doesnt get applied it only repels... u need some coomon points to meet the edge...

when one person meets the other for the firs time all is nothing but infatuation .. the reason is only what one person has in mind for one;s life partner n if any one strong quality is seen they think its love... love only grows with the passage of time.... i disagree with newtons third law of motion on this state.... OPPOSSITES ATTRATCaT... no not at all . for long run they dunt attract but reple each other.. they shud have some common points to meet the edge...

well... when one person meets the other for the first time merely depends on the kind of qualiy he has setin his/her mind for the life partner and tends to keep in search of it.. n once they do even one strong qauility they think its love at first sight.. its nothing but infatuation ... love needs time... it grows with the passage of time... some ppl have misconcepon of newtons thrid law of motion ... OPPOSITEES ATTRACT... i disagree... it is not for a long run... thigns get distracted... we need some common point to meet the edge....

Well i understand what point you are trying to make but if you cant solve each other problems and cant look after one another in the long run than thats not love at all. Love is not material sorta thing...its a feeling..However i never fell into it but thats what i think. If two persons love each other than both should try to fix themselves up and face the hard times and thats what love is i think.

ahem ... Well you see Fahad, 'love' is a snarled up word itself that has countless interpretations to satisfy countless set of minds.
The word itself is flawed; and something that has an infirm foundation is feckless. Though I'm not holding anyone responsible here.
Anyhow, going with the notion of love at first sight, *smiles*
From my knowledge it's a feeling that roots from the very first moment you meet that person and slowly after a while it generates into something stronger and stronger - whilst eventually the two of 'em get married and live happily ever after. Then, they tell others about it being happening to 'em.
As far as me, and what happened after that? Well, we'll leave it the way it is ...

To be very true, there is *no* existence ov pure love in this world, only *LUST* is left these days, if any gal says that she falls in luv with you then its betta to give her a dayem *hardest* slap right on her face caz thats what she deserves!
