Quake toll reaches 30'000

Its going up and up and fears are there that it will climb up further. The reason is that northern parts of Pakistan have become inaccessible by land due to the paths being blocked by mud sliding and other obstacles. So the relief operations can only be done with helicopters providing aid. The Abbotabad, Manshera, Hazara , Bala Kout and Muzaffarabad needs a really quick attention because lots of people are still burried under the debris.

British, Turkish, Chinese, Russian aid arrived and American aid is arriving. British and Turkish teams brought with themselves dogs that can find a person burried under the debris. The british and chinese brought their own instruments of finding persons under the debris. British instruments are based on sensing the human's oxygen inhaling capability deep inside the debris. They even found 3-4 persons alive yesterday night from the tower that fell down in Islamabad. I hope these teams find more and more persons alive. Pakistan Army is doing its bid, they are working in northern areas and bringing wounded people to hospitals from helicopters. However the real job is to bring out the ones still in the debris in the northern areas and for that machinery has to be provided in some way to Northern Areas.

People need food and shelter because the cold season is underway in the northern areas. Even in islamabad the day temperature is 35 degrees and the night temperature drops down to 15 degrees where as in areas like muzaffarabad temerature fall below the 15 degree mark easily in the night.

Islamabad Margala Tower Statstics:
100 people survived (other source said 86)
100 died (can be different)
25 still burried (assumed)

Northern Area Stats:
30000 deaths (can rise because people are burried under the debris)
40000 injured

Organizations working in Pakistan:
United Nations
MercyCops
Red Cross
(few more)
