Earthquake Unites Pakistanis!

The way people of Pakistan are coming forward and the way they are contributing in relief efforts all around the Pakistan depicts the sense of unity, togetherness, brotherhood, generosity, care for the life of others, respect and a feeling of patriotism and love for other Pakistanis that has become visible after soooooooo many years in Pakistan's history. Infact i never saw such unity before , such hunger for people to help others . People set up the camps for the relief of the sufferers everywhere in the country. People again at the same time donated in these camps whole heartedly. They are giving whatever they can in tons. Donations, Clothes, Beds, Blankets, Buiscuits and other food items , Medicines e.tc. Just an examle, in Karachi, there is a huge camp set up at PAF Museum which is always filled with people donating such items. Even at 2 O'clock in the night , there are hundreds and thousands of people there donating the items. I am sure the same response is generated everywhere in the country. Even when the earthquake came, people with their hands removed the rubble in search of not only their loved ones but the ones whom they dont know. The local people set up camps in the affected areas. Pakistani Doctors reaching the effective areas and helping the wounded. Pakistani Armies Engineers and Doctors working all day and all night to clear the roads, reach the far flung corners and set up mobile medical camps and treating the wounded and even bringing them on helicopters to the hospitals in Islamabad, Peshawer etc.

I mean to say is that this is the spirit we need, this is the spirit that can turn around Pakistan, this earthquake has given us a chance to reunite once again. The care and love that each Pakistani has for others right now should be kept like this forever. We shouldnt lose this. We shouldnt forget the hard time that we have faced now and still facing, we should act and live in a manner and keep working hard like we are working now so that after 10-20 years we look back at it and say that we were demolished back than and now we are back at our own feet stronger than ever.

I feel great to see all the Pakistanis toiling hard and doing their best to support their wounded, homeless, in pain,in agony, distressed brothers and sisters. All the Pakistanis are deeply grieved, dissappointed upon the death of so many people at the same time. May Allah give them a place in Paradise. (Amen)

It makes me proud to call myself a Pakistani.

Amen

As an american-born pakistani, I was quite proud of this feat also. In my visit to Pakistan 1 yr ago, I noticed that people were only loyal to those in thier region. In Karachi, the pathans were kinda downgraded and make fun of and now I see all of Pakistan rallying together to help and it makes me proud that I am a Pakistani and a Muslim.

Yeah..Hell Yeah!

Why do we wait for disasters to prove our selves good enough? We just need to realize one thing at this juncture, if we donot learn any lesson from this incident then remember that LIFE DOESNOT GIVE MANY CHNANCES if we miss this opportunity we will soon be an untold story

This is the equivalent to Tsunami, I can tell you. I have driven with relief lorry for 45 minutes yesterday in the area of Balakot and I didnt see a single living soul there. Just debris and deads. Still people are crying in anguish. They need help. Please!!!

Ameen to ur rayers, WHO says it's worst than Tsunami!

A mountain Tsunami, as dawn put it like this!

Raheel and Hasan: Yeah proud to be Pakistani.

Zeeshan: yeah we shouldnt miss this chance.

Fahd: Great to see you there. InshaAllah they will get the relief soon.

Asma: Well its equivalent to a Tsunami for Pakistan.
